Ms.Modernism is Annalisa Capurro, an interior designer, design educator, writer and speaker with more than twenty five years experience.
Annalisa is a passionate advocate for the preservation of mid-century modern architecture in Australia and internationally.
Her design experience has extended across commercial, residential, hospitality, conservation/heritage and textile design. She is currently a design educator at Sydney Institute’s prestigious Design Centre Enmore in Sydney, Australia.
Annalisa regularly presents public lectures and leads architectural tours for architecture and design events in Australia and overseas including Sydney Open, Sydney Design Festival, Sydney Architecture Festival, Sydney Writers Festival and Modernism Week, Palm Springs, USA.
She is the owner/custodian of the iconic 1957 Sulman Award winning Jack House in Sydney designed by architect Russell Jack, founding partner of the prestigious Australian architectural firm Allen Jack + Cottier.
Annalisa is currently completing post graduate research into the architecture of Russell Jack and was proactive in listing the Jack House on the NSW State Heritage Register.
